Effect.app is a browser-based tool and Figma plugin for applying visual effects to images. We respect your privacy and keep our data collection to a minimum.
What We Collect
We use Google Analytics to gather anonymized usage data, including:
- Device type and browser version
- Country or region (approximate)
- Page views and feature usage (e.g. export events)
User Accounts
When you create an Effect.app account, we collect and store:
- Email address and basic profile information
- User-created effect presets and saved preferences
- Authentication and session tokens
All personal data is handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
User-Uploaded Images (CDN Storage)
When you save a preset that includes a custom texture or cover image, that image is uploaded to and stored on our content delivery network (CDN). This allows your preset to display correctly across sessions and devices.
- Images are stored only when you explicitly save a preset containing them
- Stored images are associated with your account and used solely to render your presets
- You can delete stored images by deleting the corresponding preset
We do not use your uploaded images for any other purpose, and we do not share them with third parties.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not share personal data with third parties
- We do not sell or monetize user information
- We do not store export output or media processed through the app or plugin (only images explicitly saved as part of a preset)
Your Rights
You have full control over your personal information. This includes the right to access, update, or delete your data — including any images stored on our CDN. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@effect.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy as new features are added. The latest version will always be available at https://effect.app/privacy.
