How do I apply Type Distress I online?
Open the Type Distress I preset, add your image or video, and adjust the loaded effect layers to suit your source. Preview the result before exporting.
How does Type Distress I work?
It combines Threshold, Gaussian Blur, Texture Blur, Curves, a Layer Mix texture, and monochrome conversion. Uneven blur is central to its irregular edges.
Which lettering works best?
Large, heavy letters with generous spacing give the texture room to show. Very thin strokes and small counters are more likely to close up or disappear after thresholding and blur.
Can I apply it to a logo?
Yes, when the logo is part of the source image. Reduce Texture Blur radius and texture opacity if important shapes become ambiguous, and check the smallest intended display size.
How is it different from Type Distreess II?
Type Distreess II adds more repeated texture and inverted Levels stages. Type Distress I offers a shorter stack centered on texture-controlled softening and threshold contrast.
