What is included in Blue Steel?

The preset combines blur, Curves, monochrome conversion, Dither, Film Grain, and Color Grading. The grading layer reintroduces color after the monochrome and texture stages.

How do I reduce the grain?

Lower Film Grain amount first. If the image still appears strongly patterned, reduce dithering separately. The two layers create different textures, so changing only one may leave the other prominent.

Can I keep more detail in dark areas?

Raise the relevant exposure controls in Color Grading or ease the Curves adjustment. Check hair and dark clothing before finalizing, as the darker treatment can merge neighboring shadow shapes.
