How do I apply Tile Shift online?
Open the Tile Shift preset, add your photo or video, and adjust the loaded effect layers. Preview at your intended output size before exporting.
What effect does the preset use?
Tile Shift uses one Grid Split layer. Its grid, UV shift, stretch, and variation controls determine how the source appears inside the tiles.
Can I change the size of the tiles?
Yes. Adjust grid density and aspect in Grid Split. A lower density gives larger pieces, while a denser grid produces smaller fragments.
Is this a tilt-shift miniature effect?
No. Tile Shift rearranges image fragments in a grid. It does not create the selective focus associated with tilt-shift photography.
Can I use a still photo?
Yes. The preset can animate a still source, and an image export captures a single state. Move the playhead away from the start and end, where the tiles return to their original positions. Around 2.2 seconds shows visible displacement in the saved animation. Use video export to preserve the grid movement.
