How do I apply Icy Tones online?
Open the Icy Tones preset, add your image or video, and adjust the loaded effect layers to suit your source. Preview the result before exporting.
What does Icy Tones contain?
The preset is a saved Color Grading setup. It adjusts tint, exposure, and saturation across tonal zones, including relatively strong reductions in parts of the shadows and lighter midtones.
How do I keep the shadows from becoming too dark?
Raise the shadow exposure or reduce overall grading strength. Check dark clothing and hair against the background, especially if the source was already underexposed.
Can I protect warmer skin tones?
Start by reducing the global tint and strength, then adjust the zones containing the face. This is tonal grading rather than automatic skin detection, so evaluate the actual image rather than expecting every portrait to behave alike.
How does it differ from Blue Steel?
Blue Steel adds monochrome conversion, dithering, blur, and film grain. Icy Tones concentrates on color and tonal balance, making it a simpler choice when you want to retain the source's surface detail.
