Open the Backrooms preset, add your image or video, and adjust the loaded effect layers to suit your source. Preview the result before exporting.

What does the preset change?

A light Gaussian Blur softens the source, Color Grading changes the tonal palette, and VHS adds tracking, tape-wave, chroma-noise, and color-delay characteristics.

Does it generate a Backrooms scene?

It transforms the media you provide. Start with an appropriate interior or scene; the preset does not construct rooms, extend a corridor, or add characters.

How can I reduce the tape damage?

Lower VHS tracking, tape wave, and chroma noise. Keep the grading layer active to retain the color mood even when you want a cleaner, more photographic result.

What source material is most effective?

Wide views with repeating architecture, fluorescent lighting, and few competing subjects suit the intended mood. Keep some shadow detail so the scene remains readable after the grade.
