How do I apply Glass Panes online?

Open the Glass Panes preset, add your image or video, and adjust the loaded effect layers to suit your source. Preview the result before exporting.

What creates the layered glass?

Two Reeded Glass layers use different repetition and refraction settings. Gaussian Blur, Film Grain, and sharpening shape the surrounding softness and surface detail.

How can I reveal more of the image?

Reduce refraction amount in each glass layer, then lower the blur strengths. Change one glass layer at a time so you can decide which distortion pattern to keep.

Does the glass move?

Both glass layers have nonzero shift speeds in the saved preset. During playback, their patterns can move independently, changing how the underlying image is refracted.

How is this different from Broken Glass?

Glass Panes uses repeated reeded patterns. Broken Glass uses custom texture maps for localized blur, displacement, and surface detail, producing a more irregular damaged-glass treatment.
